Back up your save before switching devices
Find Export Save and Import Save, understand the replacement warning, and check the right character and zone progress after moving devices.

Open Options → Saves and use Export Save before changing browsers, clearing site data or moving to another device. Importing is a replacement: the checked screen says the file overwrites all current progress, rather than merging two characters or collections.
Check the selected hero, equipment and opened zones. If these are unexpectedly empty, first confirm that you are using the right browser profile and site.
Open Options, then Saves. Select Export Save.
Keep the downloaded file somewhere you can find outside the browser. Give your saved copy a date and a device label so you can distinguish it from older exports.
Confirm a file was actually saved before clearing anything or retiring the old device. Keep the original export intact.
The Saves panel lists heroes, zones opened by each class, gear, talents and the codex as file contents. A screenshot of your character can help you compare later, but does not replace the exported save file.

Import without confusing the two copies
On the destination device, first export any progress already there. Keep that export separate from the file you intend to restore. Then open Options → Saves → Import Save, choose the intended file and read any confirmation shown by the current client before proceeding.
Do not choose a file just because it has the newest download timestamp: an export from a fresh profile can be newer than your established character. Use the device label and the character checks you recorded.
After import, inspect the hero, equipment, talents and zone list for the same class you checked on the source device. If the result is unexpected, stop and compare the available exports before replacing progress again. This checklist is a precaution based on the menu’s replacement warning; we have not tested a restore on an established character.
What the automatic backups do
The inspected panel says the game makes a backup every hour of play and keeps the last five. Our fresh profile showed No backups yet. That observation does not establish that a recent session has already produced an hourly backup.
The internal backup list and your exported file serve different purposes. Keep an export before changing the environment that stores the game’s data. We have not verified a cloud-sync service or cross-device account recovery, so do not rely on either as a substitute.
If your progress looks missing
Check the original device and browser profile before clearing storage. Confirm that you opened the creator’s original URL, then look for your dated export and any backups offered in Saves. If the game itself will not start, follow the loading checks before taking steps that remove site data.
For the menu counters and class-specific unlock wording, see progression.
Can I merge two save files?
The checked menu says importing replaces all progress. It does not offer a merge in that description, so keep separate exports rather than expecting a combined collection.
Is an hourly backup guaranteed after a short session?
No such guarantee was shown. The menu describes an hourly play interval, and the fresh profile we inspected had no backups yet.
Does this website store my save?
No. This is a guide; it has no save upload or recovery feature. Use the controls in the original game.
Source and version
Original game, Options → Saves in v0.120.4 (93ecb257), inspected October 27, 2026. Export/import controls, file scope, replacement warning and backup retention were read in the live menu. File format, compatibility across future builds and recovery success were not independently tested.
Menu observations are dated. A newer game build may change the details. See our editorial policy for evidence and limitations. About →
